What Do We Do?
The Bosco Mazzocca community aims to reduce the subdivision of the silvo-pastoral areas in the mountainous territories of the Municipality of Riccia in Molise and the Administration of the Colonia di Decorata (Municipality di Colle Sannita) in Campania, through the establishment of an association between public and private bodies, aimed at promoting better and innovative planning in the sustainable management of resources, to strengthen the local productive, environmental and social potential, rediscovering and consolidating the traditional ties that bind the two territories, separated today by regional borders.
Our Goals

Promote and strengthen the social, recreational and tourist function of the area, through the improvement and maintenance of existing routes and equipment

Create shared paths between the two areas of the Bosco Mazzocca managed by the Municipality of Riccia and the Bosco della Colonia di Decorata, stimulating synergistic actions between the different social, economic and institutional actors

Promote forestry activities in the area to achieve valid economic benefits in favor of members, also by supporting knowledge and the introduction of technological innovations

Maintain and optimize the functions of wooded areas, health conservation, vitality and biodiversity of the forest ecosystem, their economic, ecological, cultural and social value
We are oriented to the maintenance, improvement and development of the grazing and agricultural areas included in the territory of the consortiate members, recognizing their high economic, landscape and cultural value.
Mission & Values
We are actively engaged in the implementation of forest improvement interventions by adopting forestry models aimed at enhancing all non-strictly productive functions attributed to forests (hydrogeological protection, landscape, naturalistic and tourist-recreational functions). The objective of the association "Comunità del Bosco Mazzocca" is also to develop new entrepreneurial and employment opportunities, training and networking local farmers and producers, also through the rediscovery of ancient trades related to the use of the forest heritage and the stimulus in favor of innovative artisanal and entrepreneurial activities.
